Fine Soap and Candles came about
to satisfy our need for fine quality handmade soap and quality candles. We had
found that we were unable to purchase handmade soap which was gentle on the skin,
cleaned well, and had a scent we wished to put on our bodies and into our
house. We also had a difficult time obtaining candles which really had a scent you could smell, were environment friendly, and complimented our soap. Our handmade soaps contain only the finest of ingredients such as food/cosmetic grade olive oil, sweet almond oil, palm oil, castor oil, avocado oil, and others as required. We use only unrefined cocoa butter and unrefined shea butter so that the best of their qualities are passed onto the skin by daily use. Lye is used to convert the natural oils into soap but the soap has a neutral pH when finished. All our soap is made by hand in small batches using the traditional method of soap making which was in use prior to modern methods and recipes. Only the highest quality essential oils are used in the the scenting of our soap. Our candles are made from all natural soy wax and cotton wicks with no metal center core. The scents used match our fine handmade soap and they can be bought separately or as matching sets. We use the maximum amount of scent possible to obtain the most scent "throw" we can obtain. Colors used are mute colors which will not conflict with your color schemes. We will be developing more scents as time goes on however should you want a special order to compliment your decor or special occasion, please contact us for a quote and we will be happy to produce sets to your order. The Whipped Shea Butter came about because one of us is a Type II Diabetic and after trying just about every foot cream on the market, made our own. This is 100% Natural Filtered Shea butter with the addition of a little Sweet Almond Oil. We have also been experimenting with using Hemp Oil for additional skin conditioning ability. We make this unscented and some with fragrance. The fragrance varies from time to time depending upon the whim of the moment. Try it once and you will continue using it even if you only put it on your feet.
